TEF Canada writing practice
TEF Canada writing practice: Sections A and B
TEF Canada writing has two sections with different purposes. Section A develops a coherent factual account; Section B presents and supports a point of view for a reader.
Quick answer
What should you know about TEF Canada writing practice: Sections A and B?
Practise the two sections separately before combining them under the 60-minute limit. Review task completion and organization before correcting sentence-level language.Keep the two section methods separate
Section A needs sequence, coherence and relevant development from the supplied beginning. Section B needs a clear position, supported arguments and awareness of the reader. One universal template cannot serve both well.
- Section A: continue the event logically.
- Section B: persuade through reasons and examples.
Plan before drafting
For each section, identify the audience, purpose and mandatory content. Allocate time for a short plan and a final completion check. A concise complete response is stronger than a decorative response that misses the task.
Review by performance dimension
Check completion, structure, connection, vocabulary precision and language control in that order. Select one repeated weakness for the next practice response instead of rewriting everything without a goal.
